四、教学过程

1、Lead-in

1)Geeting the students and show the learning goals on PPT.

2) You koow I was very busy last Sunday, can you guess what I did? Help students answer the question,(clean the room, do the dishes, wash the clothes, sweep the floor, etc.)

3)Show more pictures on the screen about doing the chores. Let the students guess what chore it is.( do the dishes, sweep the floor, take out the rubbish, make your bed, fold your clothes, clean the living room, etc.)

4)T:Do you usually do these chores at home on Sunday?

S:Yes, I do/ No, I don’t

2、Presentation

T: You are all good students, but I don’t like doing the dishes, could you please do the dishes?

S: Yes, sure/No problem…

T: Summarize the usage of “could” and the sentence “Could you (please) do sth.?”

Students work in pairs, ask wheter he/she like doing some chores. If not, ask another people for help.

Eg: I don’t like sweeping the floor, could you please sweep the floor?

3、Practice

Listen. Who will do these chores? Check(√)Peter’s

mother or Peter.(T gives the method of listening)

Check the anwers.

Listen. Peter asks his father if he can do four things. What does his father say? Check(√)yes or no.( T gives the method of listening)

Listen again. Why does Peter’s father say “no”? Draw lines to the reasons in the chart in 2a.

T summarize the sentence “Could I do sth.?”

4、Group work

Underline the phrasal verbs according to the PPT in 2d.

To summarize the usages of words or phrasal verbs on PPT in 2d.

5、Summary

T: We have learned some phrasal verbs of doing chores, and we have learned two sentences “Could you please do sth.? ”and “Could I do sth.?”to make polite requests and ask for permission.We learn word of could in order to communicate politely right? So I hope we can always use the polite languages.

6、Homework
