Step 1 Review
Show some situation in English, ask students to finish the exercise to review the phrases that we learned last period.
2.Ask students to make sentences with phrases, at the same time, lead students to use the drills
A: Could you please......?
B: Yes, sure./ All right./No problem./Certainly.
Sorry, I can't. I have to do ...Sorry, I can't. I am doing ...
Step2. Lead –in
Show some questions on the screen
Who do the most chores at home ?
How do you feel when you see her doing chores?
Do you like doing chores at home? Why ?
If no one does chores at home, what will your house be like?
What will you do ?
Discuss these questions with students to lead to the reading that we are going to learn.
Step 3. Reading
1.Read the passage in 3a silently and as quickly as you can to catch the main meaning. Answer the following questions:
1.Who do you think do the most housework at Nancy’s home?
2.What did Nancy do when she got home?
3. Why was Nancy’s mom angry with her?
4. Did they solve the problem? How?
Ask students to answer these questions. Then explain some language points that students don’t understand. At last ,check the answer together.
