Step 1

Lead- in

The teacher show three pictures to the students. They are mother and son, father and son, two brothers. They are all photos of close friendship. And then, the teacher ask the students: Who are they? How do they feel?

Students discuss next questions with their group members:

Do they like each other?

Are they friendly with each other?

Do they get on well with each other?

Do they have good or bad relations?

Show a picture in which a husband and a wife are arguing. Then ask the students to answer the following questions.

Who do you see?

What are they doing?

Do they get on well?

Do they have good or bad relations?

Show the four pictures together and ask students to discuss two kinds of relations--good or bad.

Step 2 Predict

1. The teacher show a picture. In the picture, a boy is worried. He is writing a letter. Then ask the students to answer the following questions:
