④To improve the interest and skills of listening.

Emotion aim:

Enable students to use the target language to talk about past events.

Teaching Key Point:

Master the key words and sentences.

Teaching Difficult point:

To grasp the past progressive tense.

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1:Greeting and lead-in.

Play a MV of TFBOYS to attract students’ attention and lead-in by showing pictures of TFBOYS.Then ask and answer questions according to the pictures and the timetable.

设计意图:播放TFBOYS的歌曲<<青春修炼手册>>音乐视频MV,吸引学生,活跃课堂气氛.然后屏幕上出示TFBOYS的图片,问学生"他们现在正在做什么?"引导学生用现在进行时回答。然后说:“其实这些照片是昨天拍的。”从现在进行时态过渡到过去进行时,引出过去进行时.最后出现一个TFBOYS昨天的行程安排表,引导学生运用过去进行时态进行问和答,让学生初步感知过去进行时。

Step 2: Presentation.

Present the key words and sentences with the help of pictures. Lead students to read them.Lead students to role-play the conversations.

设计意图:通过图片导入新词rainstorm,以及"What were you doing when the rainstorm came?I was...”领读关键句,并引导学生用多种角色扮演方式操练这四组小对话,如师生对话,男女生对话,一组二组对话,同桌两人对话。最后一幅图要求学生两人一组结对练习并请同学起来展示。

Step 3: Look and say.

设计意图:要求学生看图说话,巩固刚才学习的四句有关过去进行时的重点句子。

Step 4: Listening tasks

①Listening task 1:Finish activity 1b. ②Listening task 2:Fill in the blanks.

设计意图:本部分的两个听力任务重在培养学生听大意和听细节的能力。

Step 5: Fill in the blanks.

设计意图: 让学生注意不同人称对应不同的be动词的过去式。

Step 6: Activity. Let’s chant.

设计意图:活跃课堂气氛,进一步巩固过去进行时的结构用法。

Step 7:Pairwork. Lead students to work in pairs to make conversations.

A:What was(Ann/Jim/Kate) doing when the teacher came in?

B:She/He was (drinking water/doing homework/sleeping).

A:What were they doing when the the teacher came in?

B: They were reading.

设计意图:设置贴近学生生活实际的情境,让学生看图片并使用过去进行时谈论过去某个时刻正在发生的事情。
