四.教学过程

【导入】Step 1 Review and Lead in

T:Look at the picture.What happened? a big earthquake.Do you want to know about the earthquake?Let’s watch a video.

Do you remember what you were doing when the earthquake happened? T:Can you guess what my friends were doing when the earthquake happened?

(设计意图:复习句型sb was/were doing sth.)

T:As we know somethings are usual,they are not important.So we forget them quickly.But we can remember important things clearly.

(设计意图:倒入话题:the important events in the past)

活动2【活动】Step 2 Free talk

活动3【活动】Step 3 Before writing

(1) The key points of an event

3a T:(look at the pictures.)It’s an important event in China.what happened? I remember this big earthquake.Do you want to know something about it? What do you want to know?

Ss a group,talk about the earthquake)

(设计意图:让学生自己总结出:讲述一个事件需要有哪些要素)

(2) T:Let’s find the answers to the questions from a story.Listen to a short passage.There are 7 questions here. For the first time,answer questions 1-5; for the second time,answer the last two questions.

(3) Check the answers.

(设计意图:训练学生听故事,能记录其要点。)

活动4【讲授】Step 4  Sample Writing 

T:After listening,let’s look at the requirements of the writing.

3b Write a short article about the important event in 3a.Try to write three paragraphs.

How can we divide the writing into 3 paragraphs. I’ll ask 3 students to read the instructions.

(设计意图:引导学生如何把事件的要点连词成句,连句成篇。)

5.【练习】Step 5 Writing 

(1) T:Just now, we wrote a story about my experience during the earthquake. Now, it’s your turn. If you are a person in the picture, write a short article about the important event.Try to write three paragraphs.

(2) What were the people doing when the earthquake happened?

(T:Give you one minute to remember,then I’ll ask you to talk about them)

(3) Ask the Ss answerthe questions.

(4) T:Write down your passage on the paper.

6.【活动】Step 6 After writing

Ask some students to show and read their writing. Teacher and Ss give the comments and suggestions.
