Step1 Waring-up

1. Enjoy the video

通过观赏一个早读前的本班学生的小视频，让学生根据所示内容应用过去进行时说出句子，做好复习。让本班的学生做为主角，使学生更主动的参与到课堂中。

2.Leading-in“导入新课” ，Enjoy another video

1）通过观赏一个一名迟到并奔跑的学生的小视频，让学生根据所示内容说出句子，并由该学生导入新课。

2) 能正确使用以下常用表达：

make one’s way前往；费力地前进；by the side of …(根据图片，让学生上黑板，当小老师，引导大家表达完每个句子，让句子连贯，准确。并简单操作电子白板。)

3) 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式：

When the school basketball competition started, Kate was making her way to school.

While I was running back home, I saw a dog by the side the road and it was hurt.

4) 学会过去进行时态的构成和用法。

Step 2 listening.

1. Listen and write short answers to the questions. 1b

1) What event happened at the school yesterday?（将学生需要书写的处理为选择题，降低难度，提高学生学习兴趣）

2. Listen again. Number the event [1-6] in the order they happened. 1c

1)4 2 6 1 5 3 （在做听力时，也要养成学生注意单词的发音，将每个单词读准，读好。）

2)播放第三遍1b（让学生注意聆听,注重对学生们语音语调的培养。）

Step 3 Consolidation and extension

Watch and take notes（播放听力材料前，要求学生再看图片，让学生预测和了解所听内容。然后布置听力任务。）
