Teaching Procedures:
Step1:Greeting.
Greet the students and play a song sung by Jiang Tao:“Yu Gong Moves a Mountain”,then lead them to the new lesson.
Step2:Lead in
Show some pictures of the Chinese ancient tales on the screen and get them to guess what stories they are,then have some students say something about these stories.
Anaylse these tales and show some new words and phrases , guide students to read these words and phrases on the screen.
Have some students read these words and expressions.
Step3:1a
1. Get students to read the names of Chinese ancient tales,then read these story titles together.
2.Get students to find answers,then check the answers.
Step4:Exercise
Show some pictures of the story “Yu Gong Move a Mountain”.
Get students to look at the screen and fill in the blanks .
Check the answers,then read the sentences together.
Step5:1b
1.Point out the tittle of this part and get students to know how to finish it.
2.Get students to listen to the recording of this part and try to find the answers.
3.Ask some stuidents to present their answers,then check the answers and read the listening materials together.
Step6:1c Discussion.
1.Point out the content of this part and have students know the way to finish it.
2.Have students work in groups of four each and discuss these questions ,then retell the story of “Yu Gong Moves a Mountain”.
3.Have some groups present their stories. Correct miastakes if necessary.
