Step1 Leading-in
Teacher tells a story to Ss using the new words in this part, then present the words.
Step 2 Presentation
Divide Ss into several groups. Set some challenges, Ss who answer the questions or do tasks correctly can get one coin. The group who get the most coin can be the winner.
Challenge 1
Ss choose one treasure box, read and translate the words.
Challenge 2
Ss read the sentences and remember them in one minute, then fill in the blanks.
Do exercise 4a, fill in the blanks with unless, as soon as and so…that. Get several Ss to fill in the blanks . Make sure Ss can understand how to use them correctly.
Do exercise 4b. Ss should pay attention to the tense in the passage.
