二,学情分析

在八年级上册,学生们已经接触过形容词和副词的比较级和最高级形式,有一定的语言知识基础。学生们在地理课上,对喜马拉雅山和珠穆朗玛峰也有了一定的了解。本单元在八年级上的语言基础上加以拓展,进一步学习和使用形容词的最高级。

三,重点难点

Importances:

1.Get students to learn to know and say something about Qomolangma in English.

2. Get students to learn to use the comparisons with adjectives and adverbs.

3. Get students to read for the main ideas.

Difficulties:

1. Pronounce some names and words in the passage.

2. Use reading skills while reading.

四,教学过程

活动1【导入】warming-up

1、Daily greetings.

2. Free talk: What did you do on May First?

Show two pictures. Picture 1 is a picture that I took on May First, share something about my May Holiday. Picture 2 is about Qomolangma. Ask students tell the differences.

设计意图:1、师生互动交流吸引学生的注意力,预热课堂。

2、通过照片师生共同分享快乐,与课堂内容“爬珠穆朗玛峰”进行对比参照,激发学生的兴趣和好奇心。

活动2【讲授】Pre-reading

1、Talk about the picture on the screen.

2、Get students to discuss something about Qomolangma.

设计意图:根据文章的插图和标题预测文章内容,这是阅读技巧的指导渗透,帮助学生提高阅读能力。

1、Fast reading: Read the passage and match each paragraph with the main ideas.
