我们已经学习过形容词和副词的比较级和最高级的构成及基本用法。下面我们进一步学习与其相关的其他知识点。(Teacher hands out paper,t hen students teach by thems elves)1. 比较级前可加much, a lot, a bit, a little, any, no, some, even, still等词修饰。如：
You must work much faster.
You look a lot happier than you did yesterday.
He was too tired to walk any further.
This book is even more useful than that one.
2. 比较级前还可加其他表示数量的词。如：
My sister is ten years younger than me.
We reached here two days earlier than the others.
◆形容词和副词最高级的其他用法
1. 形容词最高级可被second, third等序数 词修饰。如：
The Amason is the second longest river in the world.
2.形容词最高级常用于句型“one of +the+ 形容词最高级+可数名词的复数形 式”，意为“最……之一”。如：
Liu Li is one of the most popular girls in our class.
3. 形容词和副词的比较级和最高级可以互 相转换。如：
Jane is taller than the other girls / any other girl in the club. = Jane is the tallest girl in the club.
the other+复数名词= any other+单数名词
4. the +比较级 ：两者之最 e.g : She is the taller of the twins.
5. 隐性比较（没有than的情况） e.g. Who runs faster, Lucy or Lily?

6. 越来越...... 比较级+and+比较级 e.g. It’s getting colder and colder.
