（2）学会表达事物之间的倍数关系，掌握表达倍数的句型

This elephant weighs many times more than this panda.

2能力目标：

（1）会应用比较级的特殊情况来进行对比，学会对事实和数字的比较。

（2）会对人或物的体态、外观做具体数据的表达，提高听说能力。

3情感目标：.通过对稀有动物的了解，树立保护动物的意识，热爱并保护濒危动物。

四、教学重、难点：

识记并运用表达事物之间的倍数关系的词句；将听力中使用的对比方法移为己用。

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Words review

Read and learn some new words and phrases:1:

纪weigh birth adult at birth up to

Step 2 Lead-in

jy.c Q1: Do you like animals? What animals do you like ?

Why? Can you tell us ?Ask some students to answer.

Q2: Which animals are the biggest on land ?

Which animals only live in China ?Do you know about them? ?Look at 1a

Step 3 Free talk

(1). Read for pronunciation .(Finish 1a)

(2).Talk about the elephant and the panda in 1a

First ask some students to describe the two animals,then ask and answer in pairs

(3). .掌握表达倍数的句型:

This elephant weighs many times more than this panda.

“倍数+比较级+than…”，表示“……比……(大/小/长/短……)几倍”。表示两倍用 twice, 三倍(及以上)用“基数词+times”。

Eg:这个盒子比那个盒子大三倍。

This box is three times bigger than that one.

我们的学校比你们的小两倍。

Our school is twice smaller than yours.

(4). Compare facts about these two animals.

First discuss in pairs,then write down the sentences:
