Step 1 Revision
According to the charts, review the expressions of large numbers and the cooperative sentences.
Step 2 Warming up
Ask questions about students’ favorite animals, and the watch o video “In the zoo”. Then introduce the T’s favorite animal----elephant.
Step 3 Presentation
Look at the pictures in 1a and the numbers under the pictures, describe elephants and using some simple sentences .
Eg: This elephant is 350cm tall.
It weighs 5000 kilos.
It eats 150 kilos of food a day.
This panda is 150 cm tall when it is standing on two legs.
It weighs 100 kilos.
Step 4 Comparisons
Ask the Ss to read and say the words and phrases by showing pictures.
Then ask Ss to make comparisons between elephants and pandas.
