教学步骤

StepⅠ: Warming-up activities .

Firstly,answer questions : Do you like animals? And why?

Then let’s watch a video about pandas.

StepⅡ : Pre-reading .

Work in your groups to have a discussion about pandas by using the words in 2a,and then the leader show your result.

StepⅢ:While-reading

Scan the article to find out what these numbers mean（find the whole sentence）10,12,200,2000 .

StepⅣ :Careful-reading

Read the first two para.1--2 and answer these two questions.

① What’s Lin Wei’s job?

② What does she do every day?

③ What do the baby pandas have for breakfast?

Read para.3 and answer the following questions.

① How often do pandas have babies?

② How much bamboo do adult pandas eat every day?

③ How many pandas are there living in the forests ?

How many pandas are there in zoos or research centers?

④ Why are pandas endangered?

Read para.4 and answer the last two questions.

① What does the education program in Chengdu do?

② Why are scientists doing research?

Then according to the outline to retell the important part of this article.
