Step?1.Revision

Step 2.Lead-in?

Teacher?say the sentence “Weather not only affects our outdoor activities, but also affects our daily life.”and lead in the typhoon “Mangkhut” and do some listening to know about the rainstorm we will learn.

Step?3.?Presentation

Watch a video

Watch a video to know about “How serious the rainstorm was”.Show some pictures to make sentences to show the serious rainstorm.

Learn the article

Read the article quickly and find the order of the article.

Read the article for the second time and finish the tasks on the papers,then ask some students to answer.The article is divided into three parts,they are before the storm,during the storm and after the storm. Each part includes 2 or 3 questions and let the students finish the tasks by themselves.

Retell the story according to the pictures on the big screen. Try to make right sentences on their own words.

Storms are not always bad.

Although the storm broke many things apart, it brought families and neighbors closer together.

Discuss the questions with their partners
