Teaching Procedure:
Step1.Lead in
Ask students some questions
Do you like music?
Do you have favorite singer and song ?
What’s your favorite singer ?
Then ask several students to answer these questions.
目的:让学生能够自信的说出他们熟悉的话题,让学生能够在学习中更有自信。
Step2. Pre-reading
1.introduce the feature of country music.(曲调简单,节奏平缓,具有乡土气息)
2.play a song named The Dance, then ask Ss to guess what kind of music it is ?
3. After listen to a music ,I will ask Ss to listen to the passage which about a country music song changed a girl’s life forever. After listen to the song ,the Ss should answer these questions.
What’s the name of the girl ?
What’s the girl’s dream ?
目的:改善学生的听力能力。
Step3. While-reading
fast-reading
Ask Ss to use 5minutes to read the passage ,then answer the questions on Page 63 of 2b.
目的:把这篇文章当做阅读理解来做,一次锻炼学生的阅读理解能力。
Careful-reading
Let Ss follow me to read the first paragraph. Then let the Ss to discuss the questions in 2c of paragraph one and then with their partner to find the important phrases or sentences in Para 1. After their discussion , then ask several Ss to speak out their answer and the important phrases or sentences. Then the teacher choose some important and key words, phrases to give examples.
The second and the third paragraph will be taught in the same way.
目的:把课堂的主动权交给学生,充分发挥学生的主动性,让学生成为学习的主动者,让他们找出文章的重,难点有利于学生更好地吸收和记住知识点。同时还能巩固前面所学的知识点。
Step4. After-reading
According to this passage, what question you will ask to the Ss, discuss with your partner.
目的:让学生学来做小老师,学会通过阅读来出题,可以发挥学生的创造性。
