a. Enable Ss to grasp the sentence structures:

Have you ever been to a museum?

Yes, I have. / No, I haven’t.

Me too=So have I. / Me neither=Neither have I.

b. Ss can talk about the past experiences and use the present perfect tense and simple past tense correctly.

a. Get Ss to open eyes and know more about the knowledge of the outer world.

Step 1: Lead-in

1. Ss listen to a song and answer the question: What kind of places do you like?

2. Invite several Ss to share their opinions

Step 2: Presentation

1. Show some pictures and introduce new phrases

2. Guessing game: What’s missing?

Show some pictures of different museums and let Ss find out which one is

missing, then have Ss tell the name.

3. Show two short dialogues.

A: Have you ever been to the Bird’s Nest?

B: Yes, I have. How about you?

A: Me too. (So have I)

A: Have you ever been to the Palace Museum?

B: No, I haven’t. How about you?

A: Me neither. (Neither have I)
