Step 1 Lead-in
(Play a video about the Palace Museum in Beijing. )
T: First , let’s watch a video. It is about a famous museum.
Tell me where it is?
S: The Palace Museum.
T:Yes, it’s one of the biggest museums in the world. I went to the Palace Museum last summer vacation. Have you been to the Palace Museum?
T: Ok, today we are going to learn”Unit 9 Have you ever been to a museum ?”we’ll take about somewhere interesting.
Step 2: New words and drills
(1) I will show some picture about history museum, art museum, space museum, water park, zoo, and amusement park. And lead students to speak out the name of these places. Use“?Have you ever been to …?”?to ask and answer.For example:
T:Look,there is an astronaut in it.Which museum do you think it is?
S: A space museum.
T:Have you ever been to a space museum?
......
(2).Get students to ask and answer to practice the conversation:
A:Have?you?ever?been?to…?
B:Yes,I?have./No,I?haven’t.What?about?you?
A:Me?,too./Me?neither./I have (never)been to ...
Give students about two minutes to practice in pairs.
