Step 2. Ask Ss “What’s my hobby?” and focus on some pictures that I have ever been to . (the West Lake, shanghai and the Summer Palace.)
Then ask Ss to have a discussion about what places they have ever been to.
After that, ask some students to talk about the places they have ever been to.
Step 3. Presentation
Show the pictures of the Terracotta Army, the Great Wall , the Bird’s Nest and the Palace Museum.
Ask students to match the pictures with the places.
Then give more information about the four famous places of interest.
Step 4. Practice
Let Ss work in pairs to have a conversation with “Have you been to… ?” and give Ss chances to practice their oral English ---- to say something as many as possible about the famous places of interest.
Step 5. 1b&1c Listening Practice
Play the recording twice and students finish 1b&1c .
