Teaching Procedures:

Step 1 Warming up

Read the new words one by one to check if they have prepared ,then ask them to challenge the questions.

Step 2 Listening practice

Listen and fill in the blanks.

Ask the students to say the rules about for and since.

Step 3 practice

Fill in the blanks.

Step 4 Activities: sentence maker.

Use the words and picture in the card to make sentences.

Step 5 Fast reading

Read the article written by a father for a newspaper. What is his family going to sell at the yard sale?

Step 6 Careful reading

1.Read the passage and choose true (T) or false (F).

2. 3b Read the article again and answer the questions.

Step 7 Activities: Yard sale

Guess and fast answering.

Talk about the things we will sell.

Read some target sentences.

Have a yard sale.

Give a report.
