Present the structure of the present perfect tense to the class. And then introduce the two kinds of usages about it. One means a certain action that happened in the past has finished. And the other means a certain action that began to happen in the past continues until now.

Step 3 Presentation

Get the students to know the two prepositions: for+ a period of time, since + a point of time or a clause( past tense). And how long also expresses a period of time.

Next mainly introduce to the class the uses of the present perfect tense. Help the students to master the five kinds of the second usage. Get the students to understand the ways to change forms. Then give some examples and help the students to make sentences with the present perfect tense.

Step 4 Practice

Present some exercises to the class on the screen. Give some minutes for the students to finish the exercises. Then check the answers.

Step 5 Homework

Make five sentences with the present perfect tense.
