Step 1 Warming up
T: Boys and girls, do you like watching movies? and what kind of movies do you usually watch? Why?
Students give their own opinions.
Then show some pictures to Ss and ask them to give their feelings about them. Then have a summary of adjs about different feelings.
Step 2activity 1a
Ask the students to look at the two pictures in 1a, and describe what they see. Use the structure “I'd like to go to...because...makes/make....” to give their own opinions.
Step3: Listening (1b)
1b: Listen to a conversation between Amy and Tina talking about eating in restaurants. While listening, pay attention to the “make me + adj.”
Step 4 Pairwork
Give students pictures and some information about two different restaurants. Work in pairs to talk about the question “Which restaurant would you rather to go to? why?”
Then ask some students to perform their conversations.
Step5 Listening(2a 2b)
2a: A boy and a girl are talking about their past experiences. Listen to their talk and number the pictures on P 103
2b: Listen again.
1) Before you listen, go over the seven sentences said by Tina and John in the box on P103.
2) After you listen, read the sentences carefully and pay attention to the structure “make/s sb. do sth.”
