四、教学策略

Stage 1. Lead-in (2 minutes)
Read the sentences to know about the grammar that will be learnt today.
1. The loud music makes me nervous.
2. Soft and quiet music makes me relaxed.
3. Money and fame don’t always make people happy.
4. She said that the sad movie made her cry.
Stage 2. Review
Review the use of “make” that is learnt before by some examples.
1. Mary made a paper boat. 玛丽做了一只纸船。(make:做; 制造; 建造)
2. I didn’t make any promise. 我没有作出任何承诺。(make:作出(某种举动)
3. He makes $2,000 a month.他每月挣两千美元。(make:获得, 挣得; 赢得)
Stage 3. Learn the new grammar
(Learn new items about “make” by some pictures and examples.)
Step 1. Lead in the new item by an example
How does it make you feel when you speak in front of a group of people in the rally on oath hundredth day?
→It makes me nervous/worried/proud…
Step 2. Students try to draw conclusions by looking and thinking some examples
1. Try to work out the patterns: make sb. adj.; make sb. do sth.
(1)The delicious food makes me hungry. =The delicious food makes me want to eat.
(2)The beautiful beach makes me relaxed. = The beautiful beach makes me want to have a holiday.
(3)The tidy room makes me comfortable. = The tidy room makes me feel comfortable.
(4)The baby dogs make me happy. = The baby dogs make me laugh.
