三、教学手段：

本节阅读课采用任务型教学法，同时加上多媒体教学。用图片方式为学生学习英语创造情境，实现师生互动、生生互动、人机互动的多项交流。

四、教学重点和难点：

1、教学重点：（1）学习阅读短文中连接词的使用。

（2）阅读短文，获得相关信息，提高学生们的综合阅读能力。

2、教学难点：（1）学习阅读短文中连接词的使用。

（2）阅读2b部分的短文并完成先关任务要求。

五、教学过程：

Step1 Warming up and lead-in

Greetings

T: Class begins.

Ss: Good morning Miss Wang.

T: Good morning boys and girls.

Lead-in

Show a picture to review a sentence with “while”，lead into the revision of link words and phrases.

Step2 Presentation

Activity 2a

Give students some time to finish it and then check answers.

Activities 2b,2c&2d

Task1 Fast-reading

Read the passage carefully and find out the link words and phrases in each paragraph. Then invite some students to present their answers. Correct mistakes if any.

Do the exercise of activity 2d to consolidate the link words and phrases.

Task2 Careful-reading

Read Para.1 to find out the answers to the questions.

Q1. What is Stonehenge? (…not only… but also…)

Q2. 2. Is Stonehenge famous in the world? Why?

Read the article again and complete the chart.
