Step ⅠWarm-up
1. Greet the class and let students see a video about movies.
2. Show some pictures of different kinds of movies on the screen, ask students to describe them on their own.
3. Let students to make a short conversation like this:
A: What kind of movies do you like to watch? Why?
B: I like cartoons, because they are always very funny. What about you?
A: ......
Step Ⅱ Presentation
Ask students to look at the picture on the book, guess “What’s the passage is talking about?”
Let students read the passage by themselves and underline the different kinds of movies and circle the movie names. Then invite one student to check the answers.
Lead students to read the passage carefully and finish some tasks on the screen individually.
Invite some students to finish the tasks (3-6).
Check their answers together.
