The types of the object clauses
1.、The object clause with “that”
Eg.He said (that) he wanted to stay at home.
She doesn’t know (that) she is seriously ill.
I am sure (that) he will succeed
2. The object clause with “what, whom, whose, which, what, when, where, how, why”
Eg. Do you know who (whom) they are waiting for? Tips : “Whether” should be used in the following conditions(“if”can not be used )
1）The object clause with “whether”can be used with “or not”.
Eg. Let me know whether you can come or not.
2）“Whether” should be used ,when the object clause is moved at the beginning of the sentence.
Eg. Whether it is true or not, I can’t tell.
3）The infinitive can be guided by the “whether”.
Eg. I don’t know whether to accept or refuse.
4). The ingredients guided by “whether” can be put behind the preposition, using as the object of the preposition.
Eg. I worry about whether I hurt her feelings.

Statement word order
Eg. I think (that) you will like this school soon.
Can you tell me how I can get to the zoo?
Please tell me when we’ll have the meeting
The tenses of the object clauses
1.When the predicate verbs of the main clause is the simple present tense or the simple future tense, the predicate verbs of the object clause can use any tense.
Eg. I think (that) you are right.
Please tell us where he is.
Can you tell me how I can get to the railway station?
2.When the predicate verbs of the main clause is the simple past tense , the predicate verbs of the object clause shoule use the corresponding past tense. But when the content of the object clause is a fact, the predicate verbs of the object clause still uses the simple present tense
