Step 1: Revision and warming up
Watch a video about something scary. Ask students: What did you use to be afraid of? Are you still afraid? During the talk, present the new words: seldom, fail the examination, be proud of, exactly.
设计意图:通过一个视频不仅把学生的注意力集中起来,拉近师生的距离,也能直接导入一些新词汇,直接有效。Step 2: Before reading
Present the tit le of the passage and ask students to guess what Li Wen use to be like in the past?
Tell more inform ation about him and guess what problems might he have.

Step 3: Reading
1. Read the pass age qu ickly and underline the problems Li Wen used to have.
2. Read and pu t the sentences in the correct places. (tell them to use the context)
