Teaching steps:

Step1

Review the knowledge of 2b. Students fill in the blanks to review the story of Li Wen. Then students read the short passage together.

Step 2

Li wen has changed a lot, how about the students? Students write about their changes since primary school in self check 2. Then the teacher leads the students to correct their writings.

Step 3

Students work in pairs to make a conversation to talk about their changes since primary school, using the content of task 2.

The teacher asks some pairs of students to present their conversation.

Step 4

Students finish task 1 of self- check. Then the teacher leads the students to check the answer, after that students read the sentences together.

Step 5

Students work in groups to draw a mind map about Mario, Emily, Li Wen, or Candy’s changes, and the structure of used to. Then share their drawings in class.

Step 6

Homework: Students draw their own mind map to review the knowledge in this unit.
