Ⅰ. Warming up
Show a note of 100 yuan to ask students “What’s it made of?”(paper) and then ask students to think of other things that are made of paper so as to lead in to the new topic
show some pictures of different kinds of shirts to lead into “What are the shirts made of ?
II. Presentation
1. Show some pictures of different things and their materials on the big screen. Try to learn the new words using “be made of” structure.
New words: chopsticks, coin, fork, blouse, silver, glass, cotton, steel
Structure: What’s it made of? ---- It’s made of…
2. Game (Eye challenge). After showing all the new words and sentence structure. The teacher shows groups of pictures with different things and materials quickly to ask students make the sentences to consolidate the new words and sentence structure “What’s it made of? ---- It’s made of…”
3. Work on 1a:
Let Ss read the things and materials in 1a. Discuss with their partners and match them with the materials.
4. Show some different beautiful pictures of cars( it can draw students’ interest) to lead in to the sentence structure “Where was it made? --It was made in…

5. Show different kinds of things and countries to practice the sentence pattern
III. Practice
Listening.
Tell Ss they will hear a conversation about some things and material. Listen and match the products with what they are made of and where they were made.
