How to help the students master the text in detail and make the students improve the ability of analyzing the passage.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Greeting and revision
Greet to the students as usual.
Have a dictation about the new words and phrases.
Step 2 Lead in
Show a video of the 2015 Milan Exposition and make a brief introduction. And let the students learn the idea of “made in China” has been accepted by the people in the world. Then have a free talk about foreign countries.
Step 3 Pre-reading
Introduction of America: look at some pictures and watch some videos about America.
Step 4 While-reading
Skimming: Work on 3b. Read the passage and answer the questions.
Scanning: Read the text quickly and do True or False questions.
Kang Jian is a high school student.
There are no things made in China in US.
People in America don’t like use things from China.
Careful reading: Work on 3c in groups. Read the passage again and write what the words in bold refer to.
Step 5 Post-reading
Ask students to do the exercise below.

Summary: Ask one student to act as an assistant teacher to guide others to summary what they have learned in this class. And then give a conclusion about this lesson.
Homework:
Read the passage several times after school and try to recite it.
Use some key words to make sentences, such as no matter, be made in, avoid doing sth, etc.
