Step 1 Warm up

What is the book made from? Etc.
Step 2 Presentation
Leading in: Do you know how to fly a kite? Do you know how to make a kite? What materials do you need to make a kite ?
Then teach 1a. This activity provides practice to help students consolidate the target language.
Step 3 Practice
Teach 1b. Listen to a conversation between Laura and Zheng Yun and circle the correct answers. Students listen and check the answers.
Teach 1c. First ,lead students to have a look at the statements in the box to know what to do in this activity. Then ask students to listen carefully again and finish the work in 1b.Later check the answers.

This activity provides speaking practice to help students master the target language.First,divide students into two groups,one is girls the other is boys.Have them read the sample conversation in the box.the ,ask them to make their own conversations like this in pairs using the information in 1b-1d.Finally invite several pairs to act out for class.
