StepⅠ: Free talk and warming-up: (4’)
1. Organization and free talk.
2. Lead-in
Show four pictures about Chinese traditional festivals to students. Ask someone to describe the festivals. Then ask students what the most festival is in western countries and lead in the new topic——Christmas.
T: Let’s look at the pictures. What festivals are they?
Ss: They are…
T: Last class, we learnt something about Halloween. Let’s look back to the famous festival in the western countries. What do people usually do on Halloween?
Ss: They usually dress up as ghosts or cartoon characters.
Children often ask for candies, if you don’t give them, they will play a trick on you.
People often make their house look scary.

1)Ask students to tell something they know about Christmas.
2)Watch a short video, and find out the information about Christmas, especially the English words such as December 25th, Santa Claus, Christmas tree, gift, (present)etc.
