教学过程:
Step1. Presentation
Lead in the topic by showing a video of rollercoaster and asking them questions.
Step2. Predicting
Get the students to predict the main idea of the conversation by reading the title and answering questions.
Step3. Introduction
Get the students to observe the conversation and Introduce the type of the reading material by asking questions.
Step4. Reading
First get the students to read for the main idea of each part and then ask them to read for details by asking and answering th equestios. During the process, help the students to develop the habit of guessing the meanings of the words from the context or by describing the picture.
Step5. Role play
Get the students to listen to the recording and pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Ask them to practice the conversation in pairs or groups, then role play the conversation.
Step6. Direct questions versus Indirect questions
Ask the students to read the sentences and decide whether they are direct questions or indirect questions. Ask them to compare the two kinds of questions and find out the difference.
Step7. Exercise
Ask the students to underline the questions that ask for information and rewrite them.
Step8. Paraphrasing
Ask the students to find sentences in 3a with similar meaning to the ones given. Help the students to develop the habit of paraphrasing.
Step9 Summary
Summarize what the students have learned from the lesoon.
课后反思:
这节课的设计理念是在做中学,在真实的语言环境中用英语进行交流,而不是为操练而操练。所以在设计这节课时,我尽量创设真实的语言环境,不留痕迹地让学生有更多的机会用英语自然地表达。这个单元的重点是有礼貌的问询,所以我在提问时基本上使用了间接的礼貌句式,让学生感受到真实的语境,非常自然。
在对话的处理上,我先让学生整体听读感受整段对话, 然后在此基础上将不同场景下的四段对话分解成四段小对话供学生操练, 然后进行对话表演。在对话朗读表演时鼓励学生多用动作和表情,使朗读表演更传神更有趣。
其次,在使学生充分理解本节课的文本基础之上,我强化了学生对于文本类型的辨别意识,培养学生利用paraphrase和comparison进行学习的技巧和能力,鼓舞学生做一个礼貌的,愿意积极尝试不同事物的,有智慧的人。在学习方法上和情感态度上对学生有一定的积极指导。
