I think good studying ways can help the Ss to be good language learners. So in this lesson, Ss will use self-learning and cooperative learning. I hope students can improve oral expression through the learning strategies.

五、Teaching procedure

?Step?Ⅰ.Free talk?

I will show them a video about school rules. After watching the video, I ask them :Do you like this kind of school rules? What are your school rules? Let’s talk about it freely.

(Purpose:During the free talk, I can?arouse?the?students’interest?of?study and help them review the passive voice “should be allowed to do sth.” in last lesson.)

Step?2??Presentation?

After watching it, I asked them: Do you ever have the same problem?

Then I introduce the other phrases in 1a naturally. Meanwhile, I help them answer with the frequency adverbs: always, usually, often, sometimes and never.

Next I’ll give them 1minute to finish 1a, and then talk about their answers in pairwork.

Step?3Listeningpractice?

Task?1.?Play?the?recording?the?first?time.?Students?listen and circle the things in 1a that Peter talks about.?

Task?2.?Play?the?recording?the?second?time.?Students?match these sentence parts.?

Task?3. Play?the?recording?the?third?time. And then Answer the three questions about Peter. After listening, I’ll invite one student to come to the whiteboard to choose the right answers.

Task?4. Play?the?recording?the?last?time. And ask the students to retell the story together.

(Purpose?of?my?designing: Task-based?teaching?method?is?used?here?to develop?Ss’?ability?of?listening?with four times’ listening, students will get the general idea of the dialogue as a whole one. )

Step?4 Groupwork?

There are three opinions in 1e. First let them read each sentence to understanding the meaning of each sentence. Then ask them to discuss with their group whether they agree the opinion or disagree. At last invite several groups to show their performance.
