Step I. Warm-up

Introduce the game “Room Escape” to students and tell them the rules of the game.

Step II. Playing the game

Scene 1 In the living room

Boys and girls take turns to choose tasks to do.

Boys and girls compete with each other to see who will finish the task better.

The teacher leads students to summarize the functions of infinitives in this part.

Scene 2 In the studio

Boys and girls do some exercises together and later they take turns to give

answers. The winner of this round will be chosen based on their performance.

Students summarize what they have reviewed in this part.

Scene 3 In the basement

Students fill in the blanks in a story with the correct forms of verbs and later try to continue the story with as many infinitives as possible.

The teacher will judge whose writing is better and announce the winner of the game.

Step III. Summary

The teacher asks students to summarize what they have learned in this period.
