【新课导入】
Step l: Lead-in(review: Section A)
Show some pictures about Mary had a bad morning. Get ss to look at nine pictures and talk about them one by one ,then ask one student to retell from beginning to end.
Present new words and expressions ---fool, costume ,show up ,stay up ,tired ect using April Fool’s Day pictures ,also introduce some background about April Fool’s Day ,then read new words and expressions together.
(设计意图:用复述故事的形式来导入,能激发学生的兴趣且丰富学生的头脑,能考查学生的记忆能力和反应能力,同时复习巩固过去完成时和相关词汇,为学习新内容作铺垫。)

2.Presentation2 Say the words that describe the emotions below as quickly as you can and make sure you can spell them at once.
3. Read the words and phrases loudly.

Step 3: Listening practice.
1. Play the tape for the first time.
(Before listening. T: Get ss to look at the pictures carefully. You will hear a conversation between Dave , Nick and Joe. They are talking about what happened to them on April Fool’s Day. Please listen, and then finish 1c.) Dave, Nick and Joe are talking about April Fool’s Day. Listen and write each person’s name under the correct picture. Check the answers with your partner.
2.1d Listen again. Who says each of the phrases below? Write D for Dave, N for Nick and J for Joe.
(设计意图:教师导入听力语境,让学生明白听力要谈论话题是什么。并且为1d作铺垫,降低听力难度。)
(学法指导:在听的过程中重点感受语气词的语音语调。)
Listen to the tape twice. Complete 1d,get one student to write down the answers on the blackboard。
(学法指导:由于此部分所填信息较多,播放第一遍听力时,完成容易的部分,播放第二遍听力时再核对信息,将信息转移到1c的表格中。若听不出全部信息,可再放两遍。也可选择先听Dave的信息,再听Nick 和Joe的信息的方式。)
(设计意图:本部分听力练习旨在锻炼学生提取细节信息的能力,并且完成听力任务时,教师的学法指导是非常有必要的。若所填信息过多,可采用做记录、分步处理听力信息的做法,这样做能分解任务的难度,让学生自信、顺利地完成听力任务。)
3. Read after the tape in Groups.
