Students from grade 9 mastered the basic words and sentences, to form an English writing. However, some of the students still don’t know how to organize a composition by using conjunctions and how to tell a story clearly in limited words. According to the writing material, this class is based on the topic of unforgettable things, feelings and mood and also school activities which students are very familiar with. The purpose of this class is to help them to review the words and phrases and sentences.

Teaching Procedure

Lead in the topic

Have you ever had such experiences? (ppt with pictures)

Winning/losing a competition

Getting good/bad grades on an exam

Performing something well/badly in front of a big group of people.

Getting into a fight with your best friend

Your first trip outside your hometown…

For this class your friend want to share her experience with you, and analyses the structure.

Write back and share your experience in groups

Give them a composition to write

Analyze how to describe what happened using the simple past tense
