Step 1 Preview
Students preview the new words and phrases by watching the PPT and practice reading them aloud. Then find out the new words and phrases in the books.

Show the pictures about pollution in 1a. Let students discuss the kinds of pollution. Write the words related to different kinds of pollution. Students work in pairs. Then check the answers.
