Step1. Revision and lead-in
Review the content from Unit13 by asking and answering. The teacher gives a short summary about the main content. Ask a question
“Earth is our home. Divide the students into four groups and talk about it by showing a picture on the screen. Then ask several students to talk .The other may add some. The teacher leads the main teaching content-Written expression
Step2.Reading
The teacher shows the students a picture of shared bikes and guide them to read a passage about shared bikes. Then ask the students to say out the writing steps. (If students can’t say out, the teacher explains and tells them the writing steps and ways.)
Step2. Show the students the general writing demands and steps. Ask two students to read them. Then ask all the students to read and remember. Show two handwritings and ask them to pay attention to their handwritings.(Good handwriting is very important!)
Step3.Practice
Show the students a written expression about the environment, show the following to the students and ask them to think about it .Ask them to write out their writing thinking or writing key points on a piece of paper.(If they can’t, show the sample writing key points .)
Ask the students to read the writing key points and think about them. The teacher explains one by one to make sure to let the students understand the key points. Then ask the students to read the sample passage together.
Step4. Practice
The teacher gives a short report, leads into the hot topic-Supporting the poor. Show the demands of a written expression to the students. Ask them to practice writing. Write it on the paper. The teacher moves around and gives a hand to the students who needs help, at the same time, takes some photos to connect the internet in order to show the passages on the screen by linking.
Step5. Reading and correcting
Show the two students’ passages on the screen, ask the other students to read and find some mistakes, correct in class. At last ask the two students to talk about their writing key points and thinking.( Praise them or encourage them.)
Step6.Summary
The teacher gives a summary, and tell them “Protecting the earth is to protect ourselves. Environmental protection is very important to us. Actions should be taken.”
Step7. Homework
Use the writing methods to finish the written expression-My summer holiday.
(Talk about something between you and the environment as soon as possible.)
