Step 1: Lead-in
Teacher: We have learned some kinds of environmental problems, so what can we do to help save the earth? Rank the items from the easiest to the most difficult.
Step 2: L istening
Let’s listen to a conversation between Jack and Julia. What are they mainly talking about?
(Suggested answers: They are talking about how to protect the environment.)
Listen again and check the things that Julia and Jack talk about.
Listen to the recording the third time and check the things that Julia is doing now, the things she will do in the future and the things she would never do.
Step 3: Post- listening
Teacher: Can you think of other ways to protect the environment?
Divide students into groups and let them discuss with their partners.
Step 4: Role-play
Use the information in 1c and 1d to make conversations. Let students work in pairs and invite several pairs to show their conversations.

Question: What can we do to save the earth?
