Teaching procedures
Step1. Free talk
Now you are about to graduate from junior high school.
How do you feel? What do you think of your teachers and classmates? What do you hope to do after graduation? What do you want to be?
Let Ss discuss their dream jobs and what they would like to do in the future?
Ask some students to tell us their feelings and what they hope to do in the future.
I give students an example:
I will graduate from junior high school. I feel excited, at the same time, I also feel a little nervous. I think I will miss my teachers and my classmates in this school. I hope I can get into a good senior high school and study further there.
And I hope to be a pilot when I grow up.
Step 2 Revision
Revise some English names of jobs that students have leant before. ( farmer, teacher, doctor, actor……)
Step3. Pairwork
Ask students to discuss their dreams in the future in pairs.
Then present the conversations in class.
