Step1: Warming up
Ask the students if they like soccer to lead in the topic. Let them watch an exciting part of a soccer game to warm up the class.
To introduce the sports culture in western countries. Help the students understand Peter’s feeling in the reading. Peter,who is on the school soccer team lost his game . Today we will read his story.
Step 2:Reading
Scaning
Scan the story and clear the structure of the story.
Scene1: on the way home
Scene2: at home
Scene3: on the soccer practice field

Read paragraph1 and answer the questions

2. Why did Peter feel angry and worried?
Then let the students draw Peter’s feeling line
2)Read Paragraph 2 and find out father’s advices
