This part is designed to help students master the target language through a reading material.

Show some pictures in ppt and ask students to talk about the most important they have experienced in junior high school in pairs.

Step III 2b

Lead students to read the reading strategy in the box , tell them: Before we read a reading material, we must have a fast reading to know what kind of writing it is and its topic and writing background.

Then, ask students to read the passage loudly to get the general idea of it and find out the answers to the questions in the box. Call attention to the pronunciation and intonation.

Later, invite three students to answer each question.

Lead students to read the passage, and explain some difficult language points.
