Step1 1. Greeting and lead in

Watch a video about September 11 attack in New York and show the learning aims.

Step2. Learn the new words and sentences.

2-1 Students try to read the new words and memorize them.

(Try to read the new words by themselves, then read together.)

2-2 Students fill in the blanks with the new words according to the pictures. ( ask some students to answer the questions.)

Step3 Fast reading

Read the passage quickly and fill in the chart.

Step5 Find the opposite meanings and make sentences .

First find the opposite meanings to the words by themselves.

Then write a sentence with each word on the medium card .(cooperation by three)

（设计意图：学生独立完成1a，然后三人小组合作造句。培养学生自主学习合合作精神）

Step6 Exercises

Students write down the answers on the small card and answer the questions.
