【新课导入】

Step l: Lead-in

1. Brainstorming

Show some pictures about what Dory did yesterday. Please say: What did Dory do yesterday?

2. Memory Challenge给学生几秒钟的时间记忆短语,然后进行比赛看谁能快速地说出活动短语。

(设计意图:用Brainstorming和Memory Challenge的形式来导入,能激发学生的兴趣且丰富学生的头脑,能考查学生的记忆能力和反应能力,同时复习巩固活动短语,为学习新内容作铺垫。)

【新知呈现】

Step 2: Presentation

1. Show the six pictures in la. Match the activities with the pictures.

2. Read the phrases loudly.

3. Pair work.

Sally and Jim had a busy weekend. Look at the pictures. Can you tell us what they did?

T: What did Sally do yesterday?

S: She flew a kite yesterday.

T: What did Jim do yesterday?

S: He swam in a swimming pool yesterday

(Help students to use the other phrases in la to answer the questions.)

4. Work on 1b

T: Do you think the activities in la are fun? Draw a happy face or an unhappy face SHAPE ﹨* MERGEFORMAT under each picture. Ask students to name some activities they think are fun and some that are not fun. For example, a student might say studying for a test is not fun.

1. Play the tape for the first time.

(Before listening. T: Sally and Jim did many things last weekend. Then what did they do? You will hear a conversation between Jim and Sally. They are talking about what they did last weekend. Please listen, and then finish the conversation.)

Jim: Hey, Sally! .

Sally: Yeah. I stayed at home on Saturday. I was quite busy.

Jim: Why?
