【教学设计】

Step I Description of the topic

Imagine the students are in the learning and speaking examination, the teacher read a small passage twice without any clue,then the students have 60 seconds to prepare. After it, the students try to retell the small passage.

Step II Groupwork

Four kinds of pollution are learned in this unit--- air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution, waste pollution. Divide the students into four groups and give them different tasks.One should do a report in front of all the students, one should take notes, the others came up with good ideas. And they should talk about “What caused it?” and “How to solve it?”

Remind the students not forget to add the following linking words when prepare the report:

Step III Choose the best voice of Class Twelve

Choose the best reader according to the following evalution standards:

※Pronunciation and intonation

※Stressing and rhythm(重读与节奏)

※Pace(语速)

※Pause(停顿)

Step IV Try to retell the 2b in Section B ---- Rethink, reuse, recycle

First, guide the students to read the important sentences paragragh by paragraph, then ask them try to retell it with the help of the key words on the whiteboard.

Step V Try to tell a story with the important phases

※play a part in

※put…to good use

※not only…but also…

※make a difference

Step VI Do a reading comprehension, and teach them some methods

Teach the students to find the key words in the passage, and teach them how to give the right title of the passage.

Step VII Read the good sentences in the reading comprehension that may be helpful to write composition of this class.

Step VIII Writing

Before writing:

Examining the topic and list the main body;

List the main structure;

Try to finish the composition.

Step Ⅸ Homework

Try to finish the composition that we haven’t finished in class;
