本课授课对象为小学二年级学生，经过一学年半的英语学习，学生已经适应了英语课堂教学，积累了一定数量的与本课话题相关的动作类词汇，对情态动词can的用法有一定程度的了解。多数学生能听懂常用的课堂指令、提问等，并能正确反应、互动；对简单的单词拼读规则有初步的了解，能正确朗读所学语篇；口头表达发音基本清楚，语调基本达意；但少数学生的英语基础不够扎实，受认知水平所限，其语言表达的准确性有待加强，需不断通过语言情节的变换和课堂活动的互动给予其学习刺激。由于年龄的特点，部分孩子注意力容易分散，缺乏观察、发现、判断、总结事物的能力与方法，对自己有时不能严格要求，一些良好的学习习惯尚未定型。所以在本学期，我们应该继续加强良好的英语学习习惯的养成训练，有步骤、有计划的在教学过程中逐一落实。在习惯训练方面我们应该把握住一个原则：提早开始，严格要求，持之以恒。好的学习习惯会成为学生英语学习的催化剂，会对学生英语水平的提高起到“润物无声”的作用。同时，我们还必须注意到低年级学生具有很强的向师性和可塑性的特点，这就要求我们一定要规范自己的教育教学行为，要求学生养成良好习惯的同时，我们自己也要养成良好的教学习惯，为学生做好示范。
