热身（Warm-up）
1.课前说唱chant P15 (复习季节）
学生齐唱《The twelve months》。（复习月份）
月份接龙，数字接龙，序数词接龙。（复习月份，数字，序数词，为新课铺垫）
打地鼠。
活动:看图联想节日（PPT）
教师播放PPT，出示以下场景：复活节兔子，升国旗，儿童在玩耍，放鞭炮，吃月饼，种树，愚人节，端午节，圣诞节，感恩节，教师节，劳动节，母亲节，父亲节等（呈现以前学过的所有节日），要求学生看图抢答说节日，猜对后，全班进行回答练习。
如：When is Children’s Day? It’s on June 1st.
When is National Day? It’s on October 1st.
When is New Year’s Day? It’s on January 1st.
师生口头问答后，再分组问答操练句型When is ? It’s on .(可分成男女生两大组，一组问，一组答）
新课呈现（Presentation)

（1）请学生看图和题目要求，猜一猜录音内容。
（2）教师播放录音，学生完成听音选月份的练习。

（1）There are some special days in April.情景句的呈现与操练。
教师出示5月份月历，说：There are some special days in May. What are they?帮助学生回答：May Day and Mother’s Day. When is May Day? It’s on May 1st. When is Mother’s Day? It’s on the second Sunday in May.
口头操练：There are some special days in January? What are they? 学生回答：New Year’s Day. There are some special days in March? What are they? 学生回答：Tree Planting Day.
引出There are some special days in April. 教师板书：There are some special days in April. 请同桌学生根据四月份月历创编对话。（可先师生示范）
