Step 1 Daily greetings.
Step 2 Today we will learn how to describe people’s look.
Step 3 Describe myself.
Teacher set herself as an example.I have long hair. I have straight hair. I have black hair.T:I can say the sentences easily. I have long straight black hair.Then teacher shows different styles of hair, let students try to describe them. From first two sentences, students can find out the rules(长短+形状+颜色),next students describe another two pictures.
Step 4 Ask some of the students to describe themselves.
Step 5 Talk about the height.
T:I am of medium height.Teacher gives an example, I am of the medium height. Then shows a picture of three classmates.
T:What does he look like?Ss: He is tall.She is short. She is of medium height.Then practice the target language.
Step 6 Talk about the build.
Then teacher shows the photos of Du Haitao.He is thin.(first picture)
He is of medium height.(second picture)He is heavy.(third picture)
Next teacher asks What you look like,let students practice the target language.
Step 7 Sum up key sentences.
Step 8 listening practice.
Listen again,check the answers. Then read the conversation together.
Step 9 Teacher shows a student’s picture and changes his hair, let students practice.
Step 10 Pairwork. Describe your friend with your partner.
Step 11 Listening practice (2a,2c)
Before listening, let students read the questions first.Then finish the task.Then according to the chart, let students make sentences.
Step 12 Summary. Let students sum up the key points. (梳理知识点)
Step 13 Fun time. Teacher gives a riddle to students, and let students guess who she is.Next give students three minutes and make up their own riddles in their groups.
