Step1. Warming-up
Greetings
Watch a short video about Toy Story and lead out the title “Toys”.
Step 2. Presentation
Introduce the character Buzz Lightyear and lead out Jasper, then introduce the program “Dad, where are we going”.
Introduce the situation---Christmas is coming, Cunzhang shows them a new Mission Card. If they can finish the tasks, they can get the Christmas gifts. Ss are divided in to four groups and they are on behalf of the four children Jasper, Max, Shanzhu and Paofu.
Cunzhang asks the children what do they want one by one, teach the words of toys and the sentence pattern “What do you want?”.
Step 3. Practice
After learning all the words, finish task 1---play a bomb game (Ss say out the words aloud, but keep silent when the teacher point to the word with a bomb)
Finish task 2---Play a passing game (Ss pass the toy one by one with the music on, when the music stops, the student with the toy should answer the questions.)
Finish task 3---Living play (Christmas is coming, Ss talk about what they want for Christmas gifts. They should smile and do actions when they talk.)
Step 4. Development
1. Finish task 4---Memory game (Ask Ss what the children want, then match the child and the toys and teach the sentence---What does he/she want? He/She wants a…)
