教学过程:
Step 1 Warm up and preview
1. Greetings
2. Sing Body Song.
3. Review the words: arms, nose, mouth, ears, eyes, head, shoulders.
Students are divided into two groups. They will have a race to get the flag. They can move steps when they do a good job. In step 1, two groups can move one step.
Step 2 Presentation
1. The teacher introduces her friend, Jenny, with a world map, and teaches the word weekend through some winter pictures of Australia.
2.The teacher designs a setting to introduce target sentences. She WeChats Jenny.
Jenny wants to make a snowman. She WeChats us by showing the pictures. Teacher introduces the words "make a snowman". Teacher teaches the word with phonic: snow ow-ow n-ow snow.
Then, teacher introduces the sentences: What do you want to do? I want to........ Students keep asking Jenny What do you want to do? Jenny shows the steps of making a snowman by pictures.
After the snowman is done, Jenny asks us," Do you want to make a snowman?" Students answer:" Yes, I do." Then, teacher asks students to stick the nose, eyes and hat to the snow man on the white board.
Whole class ask the chosen student "Do you want to make his eyes?" The student answer, "Yes, I do." Whole class keep asking "Do you want to make his.......?" until the snow man is done. The chosen students can help their group move one step.
3. The teacher introduces the phrases by WeChat: go to the park, see a movie, play outside, read a story, surf the Internet . Phrases are taught with phonic and they are classified into outdoor activities and indoor activities.
Step 3. Guessing game
Students guess the words with the sentence "Do you want to ......." "Yes, I do.""No, I don't." If the students can get the right answer, their group can move one step.
Step 4. Let's talk.
The pictures of activities are shown on PPT. Students read them out.
Next, teacher invites students to say out more activities. Students' group can move one step. After that, students talk in pairs whit the sentences "What do you want to do?" "I want to........." When pair work finishes, a pair of students are asked to present and their group can move one step.
Step 5 Let's write.
Children's Day is coming. Students need to write down their plans. When they finish, one student is going to show his plan as an example and help his group move one step in the race. Then, each one is going to read out their plans in the group.
Step 4 Summary
Students will review the words and sentences they learn in the class. Teacher advises students to spend the time on outdoor activities and indoor activities appropriately. It's healthy for us to combine both of them in our daily life.
